But, sometimes food is superior to certain medicines. A new study published in the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases back this statement.

A university in Iran, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, carried out a study to know the effects of sesame seed supplementation on clinical signs and its symptoms in people with knee osteoarthritis.

Knee arthritis is joint disease resulting in swelling, pain and abnormal bone growth. According to reports, about 12.1% adults are suffering with this condition.

Most people consider knee arthritis as a common problem associated with getting old. But, the condition is debilitating and great number of people are affected by this disease.

Many people who’re suffering from knee arthritis rely on drugs and prescribed medications. Fortunately, a recent study concluded that supplement of sesame seeds can reduce clinical symptoms.

For this study, group of 50 patients are divided into two groups. One group was given standard medication including Tylenol and glucosamine, while second group of 25 patients were given sesame seeds supplements.

After 2 months study completed and the results are surprising.

Patients group who were treated with sesame seeds show better than other group of people.

Thus, the study concludes that “sesame seeds therapy is superior to Tylenol for reducing knee arthritis.”

Apart from this, sesames seeds ingesting can reduce diabetes and blood pressure, says an American Journal published in 2011.

Researchers state that 40 gram of sesame seeds have ability to show effective results and help you to relieve from pain. This is equivalent to 4 tablespoons.
